Our Church Staff
Pastor: Les Joslin
Les was raised in Royse City. He was the Youth and Worship leader at Trinity Baptist Church for 16 years. God Called him to Community Baptist Church in 2006. He has been pastor here for 17 years this April.
Les and his lovely wife Amy have been married for 42 years and have raised 2 boys and have 5 grandkids.
They make a great team as Les has a heart for the people, and Amy truly has a heart for the kids.
Student Pastor: Jonathan Hitt
Jonathan has been youth pastor at our church for over 10 years. He also works for the Royse City ISD.
Administrative Assistant: Brenda Dodson
Brenda is originally from West Virginia. Her husband served 22 years in the Air Force, so they were stationed all over the US. They settled in TX in 2005. She has 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren.
She became a Christian in 2008, and in 2010 became the administrative assistant for the church.

Our History
Community Baptist Church
Our church was established in 1992 by Brother Tom Fields in the little community of Blackland, 6 miles east of Rockwall on Hwy 276, and 6 miles south of Royse City. The current Education Building (the brick building) was built in 1994 and served as the worship and Sunday School building. The new Worship Center (the stucco building) was added in 2000.
Our church has grown and served the community, being an outreach resource for those with spiritual needs.
Our Affiliations
CBC is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention. The church is also a part of the Hunt County Baptist Association.
